Sleeve notes

Tara, once the seat of the High Kings of Ireland, now stands abandoned by those mythical Celtic kings who ruled over ancient Ireland, abandoned by the legendary warriors and bards who guarded its secrets and treasures.
Tara, abandoned even by time itself, now silently resounds to the hum of the bee, the wild call of the bird, telling its dreamy secrets, heard from long dead voices speaking on the winds that blow down its lonely slopes. All that is left to be seen today are the grassy ruins which can be seen on the label of this record in the form of an aerial photograph.
Tara is also the name of the record label, devoted to safeguarding a music which tells of other times, other peoples. It’s new “bards” are the traditional musicians gifted with a rich and expressive language, who tell and re-tell tales of a bygone age. Since Tara’s first release in the early 70’s, it has concentrated on recording some of the finest traditional music being played in Ireland today. The selection of artistes on this record testify to that fact. Tara, has once again, become the seat of kings, their songs and music safe from the ageless silent conqueror, time itself.
